ETT LIV I SYNT
Synten är vår tids fantastiska, musikinstrument, som genom sin klangrikedom möjliggör resor i tid och rum, fri från associationer från gamla tider, som alltid begränsar traditionella instrument vid försök till nyskapande!
Mina syntäventyr började redan i mitten på 60-talet, när studion fick sin ANDROMATIC, världens äldsta synt med polyfoni och sequencer.
På denna CD har jag samlat personliga och säregna syntkompositioner, som gemensamt har själsliga aspekter. I centrum står människans plats i tid och rum samt hennes längtan efter svar på omöjliga frågor.
Men även glädjen och skrattet är väsentliga mänskliga egenskaper, som alltid måste få sin plats! Kärleken till framtiden finns i PRELUDE TO THE FUTURE och en rumlares ostadiga väg i FUNSHINE ZERENAD, kan väl locka till både skratt och eftertanke? När vi passerar TIDSPORTEN, var hamnar vi då och hur kommer det att kännas för människan i framtiden, då vi måste ”begrava” en robot eller android som blivit en närstående vän?
Låt titlarna visa färdriktningen, men fantisera gärna fritt! Frågorna är måhända svåra men i musiken finns ofta svaren!! Välkomna till en resa i det själsliga landskap som vi alla bär inom oss!!!

A LIFE OF SYN(TH)
The synthesizer is our era’s fantastic musical instrument. Its rich, varied tones enable us to travel through space and time, free from the associations to previous times which always limit traditional instruments in any attempt at creativity!
My adventures with the synth began back in the 1960s, when the studio acquired its ANDROMATIC, the world’s oldest synth with polyphony and a sequencer /ALT/ and sequencers.
On this CD I’ve brought together personal and distinctive synthesizer compositions which all have spiritual aspects. They focus on humanity’s place in time and space, and our longing for answers to impossible questions.
But joy and laughter are also essential human qualities which must always be given space! Love for the future is found in PRELUDE TO THE FUTURE, and the unsteady progress of a rake in FUNSHINE ZERENADE can surely evoke both laughter and reflection? Where do we end up when we pass through the GATE OF TIME, and how will we feel in the future when we must “bury” a robot or android who has become our close friend?
Let the music titles indicate what direction to travel in, but feel free to let your imagination roam freely! The questions may be difficult but answers are often to be found in the music. Welcome to a journey through the spiritual landscape which is to be found within all of us!
